8/19/2010Congressmembers Higgins and Slaughter Announce Over $626,000 for the Global Vascular Institute
 Today, Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-27) and Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (NY-28) presented Kaleida Health with a $297,000 federal grant to support its heart and vascular institute that is currently under construction next to Buffalo General Hospital.

8/18/20105th Annual Drills 4 Skills Clinic 4 Hope Basketball Clinic
 The fifth annual Drills 4 Skills Clinic 4 Hope Basketball Clinic will take place on Saturday, August 21st from 9:30am till 12:00pm at the Gloria J. Parks Community Center.   The clinic is organized by former Park School basketball coach, and cancer survivor, Sil Dan.  Mr. Dan, a personal friend of Owen Pieber and his family, has continued his five-year mission of providing funding for Owen’s Toybox.

 Saul P. Greenfield, MD, Director of Pediatric Urology, Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and Clinical Professor of Urology, University at Buffalo School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences has been awarded an additional $1.8 million for the National Institute of Health/National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases sponsored RIVUR trial for children with vesicoureteral reflux.

8/17/2010The Early Childhood Direction Center of WNY is awarded a 5-year Contract to Continue Services
 The Early Childhood Direction Center (ECDC) of WNY, administered by Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, received a five year contract from the New York State Education Department to continue providing services for families and professionals serving children birth to five with diagnosed or suspected special needs.
